Another Philippine Internet Service Provider Review,

Globe Broadband (aka globe no-band)

Well what can i say, i have been with globe two months now. So far i had been pretty satisfied with the service with them. In totally, my disconnection days are limited to 4. Those days are pretty amusing for globe. The first time i got a disconnection, there was a storm. So i am kinda expecting it since the infrastructure of these telecoms were not good. Posts are wrecked by storms or something like that happened. Alas! i had one. It last for 3 days. Kinda disappoint by then.

Why, it happened in my first week of subscription. Kinda pissed off when in your 3rd day after the installation you got a disconnection already. So kinda bug 3 times a day the customer support, and in the 3rd day..... it rise again. heheheh

The second one is more amusing than the first. I dont know if it has any relevance why i got disconnection, but believed me or not, i got a disconnection right after a thunder! No kidding, i heard the thunder while i am browsing the internet and there it is, "the network cable unplug!"...

WTF!!!!! a thunder then a got a disconnection, hehehe, i call the customer service but i dont tell them what i noticed. They may laugh at me. Anyway, it last for 1 day only and got my connection back. So far there are no disconnection (long, there are many disconnection but for a short time only, 5-10 mins). This is better than having a disconnections for days. Well i hope i wont encounter it at all.


So here is my PROs and CONs

PRO:

*** Better Service in my area (073108) (i added the date since it may change. )
*** speed is decent enough. you get around 100% to 70% of the speed you subscribe to.


CONS:

*** depending on your area, you may get weak or strong signal.
*** their infrastructure near my house seems kinda weak.
*** customer service is like also an answering machine. they will always tell that they are doing their best to resolved the problem.
*** long waiting/queue call before a customer service representative assist you.
*** long commercials when you call them.
